The Global Carbon Project - CH4

The Global Carbon Project - CH4 is a comprehensive assessment of the global CH4 budget. It includes inter-comparisons of bottom-up and top-down quantifications of CH4 surface fluxes. pyCIF is used in GCP-CH4 to produce atmospheric inversions.

Here we present a step-by-step tutorial to compute inversions with pyCIF-LMDZ. All steps of the tutorial can be adapted to one’s model by changing the model and domain paragraph in the Yaml configuration files.
